
Edwin Guevara / guitarist and composer
For over 20 years, Colombian guitarist Edwin Guevara has performed in the United States, Europe and Latin America and has participated in over fifty recordings. He has received more than seventy awards for his work as a performer and composer, and has developed a profound interest in Latin American contemporary guitar repertory. He is currently scheduled to make a recording of solo works for guitar with Naxos. His works for guitar have captured the attention of the guitar community generating several invitations to write new works as well as arrangements of traditional pieces for solo guitar or guitar and other instruments. Edwin is endorsed by Knobloch Strings (Spain) and Guitarlift (Germany).
Edwin Guevara is available for performing recitals, concerts with orchestra, and work premieres, making recordings of standard and new works, teaching master classes and workshops, writing new works and making arrangements for a variety of ensembles.
