Pianist, improviser and composer Mauricio Arias-Esguerra has performed in different national and international stages and festivals. He has commissioned and premiered multiple works by a variety of composers and has published recordings featuring both his pieces as well as other music creators' compositions. He is interested in furthering the exploration of Latin American modern and contemporary piano performance, as well as writing new works that can deepen his exploration of what contemporary Latin American art music is and can become.
